WEEK 2 - THREE PICTURES THAT SIGNIFY OF HOME:

Ayran: This drink always reminds me of home. We drink this drink (which many people find very gross) every night with our dinner. In Iran where my parents lived you have this in many variants. Like with prick or mint. I love it.

Cards: Me and my family have a kind of family day every Sunday and then play cards with each other every night. Playing cards reminds me a lot of home and my family.

Mulukhiyah: I am in love with this meal. It takes a whole day to make this for my mom. Nothing beats waking up to this scent. I have actually never seen this leaf with which you make this meal other than in Arabic supermarkets.

WEEK 3 - VISIT NITESHOP

WEEK 4 - END PRESENTATION

In the third week we visited the Niteshop in Delfshaven in Rotterdam.When I came in I didn't get it right away. When I looked closer at the products I saw that everything had its own twist in its design. When the owner told about the concept and that every product that was there had a story and value to them, I thought that was super cool to hear. I think it is so important that my designs tell a story. This place gave me a lot of inspiration and insights. I love personal stories behind art.

For our final presentation we chose the Sint-Laurenskerk to transform it. We chose this place because we all got a chilly cold vibe here. We felt small and wanted to turn this into a place where we would feel welcome. A place for everyone.
